    What is Dance/

    Movement Therapy?

Dance/movement therapy is a creative approach to regular therapy! The main difference is that we will primarily use movement in addition to talking as a way to engage in therapy. The American Dance Therapy Association defines it as, "The psychotherapeutic use of dance, movement, body awareness, and embodied communication to foster healing and well-being for all individuals, families, and communities." You do NOT need any prior movement or dance experience to benefit from dance/movement therapy and ANY type of body can enroll.
